Short-Stay Immersions and ‘Summer’ Programmes
Every year, AIBC Thailand facilitates opportunities for students to undertake short-term immersion stays in boarding schools and universities, improve English language skills via homestay tutoring and attend summer enrichment programmes.
The offerings run at various times in the calendar year with the two main periods being ‘Thai’ Summer (March-May) and UK ‘Summer’ (July-August). While language development is always a key focus, the programmes are designed to be interactive, engaging and challenging. Of course, excursions to iconic destinations such as London, Cambridge and Oxford are also a must!
In the months leading up to each programme’s departure, AIBC staff are on hand to assist with the time-consuming process of securing U.K. visas, manage onboard seating arrangements and run closed-group Pre-Departure Briefings. On the day of departure, the entire team relocates to Suvarnabhumi Airport to help with check-in and luggage loading.
Experienced Group Leaders accompany the students throughout each trip and provide regular updates to parents. In accordance with UK regulations, each Leader will have been granted a police clearance and familiarised themselves with Child Safety & Protection laws prior to flying out.
Homestay Tutoring
LLE is a Bristol-based company that specialises in homestay tutoring. Students benefit from undertaking a tailor-made course while being immersed in ‘English living’. Offered from the comfort of a qualified teacher’s home, each day combines English language lessons with a social programme that provides students with the opportunity to engage in a range of cultural and educational activities. Students connect with their teacher’s family over meals and through such interactions, become extended members of the household that more often than not, lead to the formation of lifelong friendships. The total immersion approach is what distinguishes LLE from the ordinary, run-of-the-mill language school and the results speak for themselves thanks to the abundant opportunities created to capitalise on progress.
